Its profound dark cherry aromas lead to a medium-to-full-bodied, broad, and complex core of red cherries, spices, plums, and vanilla-infused oak. Ruby-red, less deep than Leroy’s ’98 Gevrey-Chambertin Combottes. Expressive, complex aromas of black cherry, black raspberry, smoke and gunflint. Imposing on the palate; an extraordinary combination of flavor intensity and sheer breadth. In a rather youthfully aggressive phase today and not yet showing its adult shape.
