Large-Format Icons

Krug, Cheval Blanc, Chave, da Capo, Conterno, Shafer Hillside & More

Hello Collectors,

Monday’s Champagne offer has us in a festive mood, so today we’re turning to something equally celebratory: large formats. There’s no better time to stock up ahead of the season’s gatherings and celebrations. Many of these are in their prime drinking window, so take advantage of our flat-rate shipping or transferring directly to your storage, and you will be ready for any fête!

Collectors know that magnums and beyond aren’t just about presence. With a smaller ratio of oxygen to wine, large formats mature more slowly, developing greater depth, elegance, and longevity. On the table, they’re striking. Nothing makes a statement (and may require assistance from friends!) quite like pouring from a magnum or jeroboam. It’s festive, fun, and unforgettable.

Our lineup today spans icons across regions, with standouts like 1996 Krug and 2008 Pierre Peters Chétillons, two of Champagne’s most collectible vintages; 2005 Cheval Blanc and 2005 La Mission Haut-Brion, legendary Bordeaux side by side. Few wines can stop the most discerning Riesling lover in their tracks—the ultra-rare 2020 Keller Pettenthal GG is one of them! From Piedmont, we’re offering tiny-production 2019 Cascina Fontana Barolo alongside rarities like 2016 Giacomo Conterno Arione, while the Rhône delivers the towering 100-point 2010 Pegau Châteauneuf-du-Pape Da Capo and the standard-bearers 2016 and 2020 JL Chave Hermitage Rouge.

California collectors will find treasures as well, from classic Ridge Monte Bello and Shafer Hillside to culty Carter’s GTO, Next of Kyn’s 97-100 pointers, and an exceptional 2005 Bond assortment – possibly the steal of the offer!
