Our first 2026 edition of the year’s best buys is here! A few months into the year, and it’s the perfect moment to share the wines that are standing out so far – we’ve got Bordeaux, Burgundy, Rhône, Italy, California, and even a port recommendation. Yes, Grand Cru Burgundy is on here, and while port has become a niche, no cellar is complete without the half-bottles from the great 1994 vintage.

Some familiar favorites make the cut: a range of Italian gems, Bond, Corison – and as mentioned, a few Burgundies that might surprise you.
