I can vividly remember a day back in 2002 when I tasted through a lineup of grower Champagnes, my first real introduction to the category. One wine stood out above the rest: the non-vintage Pierre Péters Cuvée de Réserve. We were selling it for the unbelievable price of $24.99 a bottle. I introduced a lot of people to that Champagne and helped build a following for it. Little did I know at the time that, more than 20 years later, Pierre Péters would be recognized as one of the finest grower producers in all of Champagne.

A few years later, I had the opportunity to taste the 2002 Les Chétillons shortly after its release, and my appreciation for these wines went into overdrive. With every passing vintage, I watched Rodolphe Péters emerge as one of Champagne’s brightest stars. Before long, the wines became allocated and increasingly difficult to find. For a time, I was fortunate enough to continue sharing them with clients, and today I’m thrilled to once again offer these exceptional Champagnes.

We recently poured the Pierre Péters Cuvée de Réserve at an event, and the response was immediate. People were taking pictures of the bottle, and I’m sure many of them started searching for it the very next day. In a category as crowded as Champagne, Pierre Péters continues to stand apart. The Cuvée de Réserve is a benchmark, while the higher-tier wines are magnificent and built for the long haul.
