Fall Classics:
Allemand, Lapierre, JM Vincent, Tempier, Villaine and More!
Hello Collectors,
You’ve already heard me say this, but I love the fall. Besides the cooler temperatures and changing colors, the seasonal food this time of year is some of my favorite. We’ve just received a wonderful bounty of wines that pair perfectly with fall fare, and with the holidays approaching, it’s a great time to stock up. There are even three terrific deals in the mix, so plenty to check out today!
We kick things off with one of my all-time favorites – Domaine Tempier. The matriarch of Bandol, Lulu Peyraud, helped turn Tempier into a titan of the wine world, and we’re thrilled to have the full lineup of the latest releases. Winemaker Daniel Ravier has carried on that remarkable legacy, continuing to turn out exceptional wines even after Lulu’s passing (she lived to 103!). Moving a little further north to Cornas, we have the latest and greatest from Thierry Allemand, who, much like Tempier, is a benchmark of the appellation. With ratings as high as 98 points, these should definitely find a new home!
Switching to Burgundy, we have a trio of highly rated offerings from Jean-Marc Vincent, quietly one of the hottest producers in Burgundy! Quantities are extremely limited, and we’re delighted to have them. We follow those with some nice discounts on a pair of wines from Aubert de Villaine’s other property, A&P de Villaine, along with a Grand Cru red Burgundy from Taupenot-Merme in the exceptional 2019 vintage. And finally, we have two Beaujolais masters – Foillard and Lapierre – neither of whom should be missed.
