The 2023 Riesling Lorcher Schlossberg comes from a site right next to the Krone, but underneath the slate, there is quartzite. A touch of peach joins ripe Mirabelle notes on the nose, while a sense of Seville orange peel sets a counterpoint to the ripe fruit. The palate is juicy, rounded, vivid and dry, with a lovely sense of zestiness on the finish and a long line of lemon purity. (Bone-dry) [Anne Krebiehl MW, 10/01/2024]
