The 2021 Batard-Montrachet Grand Cru actually has a more delicate and refined bouquet compared to the Bienvenue. It needs time to open – stunning delineation. The palate is very well-balanced with a fine bead of acidity, good weight and density. I do wonder if the Bienvenue plans to give it a run for its money in this vintage? Why not?
