The 2019 Bone Rock is dark and brooding in the glass, showing musky black currants, minty wild herbs and crushed peppercorns. It’s deeply textural yet racy in feel, with mineral-laced red and black fruits carried across a core of zesty acidity. It finishes long, spicy and savory, leaving a resonance of menthol and black currant to linger, along with fine tannins that tug at the cheeks. The Bone Rock is lean and mean and in need of time.
