The 2019 Puligny-Montrachet Folatières 1er Cru has a lighter and more airy bouquet: dew-speckled green apples, gunflint and light spicy aromas come together to create a complex and involving set of aromatics. The oak is nicely integrated here. The palate is well-balanced with a harmonious texture, perfectly-pitched acidity, taut and linear with a nuanced, apricot and quince-tinged finish that glides across the senses. Lovely.
