A brooding and much less expressive nose grudgingly offers up notes of various dark berries, warm earth, discreet floral suggestions and a touch of plum. There is once again excellent volume to the dense, serious and muscular larger-scaled flavors that retain a lovely sense of delineation while delivering first-rate length on the powerful, focused and firmly structured finale.
