The 2018 Volnay 1er Cru Les Caillerets is also showing beautifully, unfurling in the glass with aromas of orange rind, cherries, red berries, cinnamon and peonies. Medium to full-bodied, fine-boned and elegant, the wine’s ample core of ripe, sun-kissed fruit expresses the vintage, while its refined, chalky tannins and exquisite definition remain unerringly true to its site.
