Readers should note that David Croix has produced a 2017 Corton-Charlemagne, but since it had just been racked into tank, we chose not to taste it.
Offering up aromas of crisp orchard fruit, citrus oil, dried white flowers and a delicate touch of nutmeg, the 2017 Corton-Charlemagne Grand Cru is medium to full-bodied, firm and chalky, with chewy dry extract and brisk acids, concluding with good grip on the finish.
