The flagship Cabernet Sauvignon ERA is positively stunning in 2016. In fact, this may be the most complete and satisfying vintage of the ERA I have ever tasted. Readers should expect an opulent, hedonistically ripe wine. Even with all of its overt power, the 2016 is nuanced and absolutely impeccable in its balance. This is a gorgeous showing. Made entirely of Cabernet Sauvignon, the 2016 Cabernet Sauvignon ERA is very deep purple-black colored and sashays out of the glass with gorgeous cassis, black cherries, wild blueberries and kirsch scents plus hints of cedar chest, tobacco, black olives, violets and dark chocolate. Full-bodied, rich and decadently fruited with firm yet plush tannins and seamless freshness, it finishes with epic length and depth. 1,200 cases produced. [13/02/2019]
