Made from 100% Roussanne, and possibly the greatest white from this estate to date, the 2015 Chateauneuf du Pape Blanc comes all from the Rayas and Les Blaquieres lieux-dits, and was raised all in barrels, 20% being new. This medium to full-bodied, beautifully pure white has serious amounts of stone fruits, citrus blossom and toasted bread, perfectly integrated acidity and a killer finish. It still has a touch of oak to integrate, but it should keep for over a decade.
Anticipated maturity: 2016-2026
Pale gold. Ripe melon, lemon pith and a subtle floral note on the tightly focused nose. Round and fleshy on the palate, offering sappy pear, white peach and honeydew flavors that are braced by a refreshingly bitter suggestion of orange pith. The floral note repeats on a long, penetrating finish that leaves behind notes of pear nectar and lemon zest.
Anticipated maturity: 2020-2025
