"Tasted blind at the Burgfest 2014 tasting, Liger-Belair’s 2014 Nuits Saint Georges 1er Cru Clos des Grandes Vignes Rouge was more modern in style than the 2014 Clos de l’Arlot tasted immediately before this, marked more by the barrel with candied red fruit and orange blossom scents emerging with time. The palate is well balanced, soft and rounded, almost Vosne-Romanee-like in style with a plush and caressing, slightly meaty finish.
