2012 Domaine Nicolas Rossignol, Volnay 1x750ml

(this represents an assemblage of high and low sites in 2012, including Taillepieds and the hailed-on portion of Santenots; 100% destemmed; finished its malo late, in September): Saturated dark red. Crushed black fruits, licorice and a whiff of leather on the nose. Densely packed but light on its feet. Juicy and extremely unevolved, but already conveys excellent energy.
