Tasted at the Comte Liger-Belair vertical at the Château de Vosne. The 2010 Vosne-Romanée 1er Cru Aux Reignots is a magnificent follow-up to the 2009 with very precise blackberry and briary scents, a hint of dried violet petals developing with aeration. The palate is medium-bodied with fine, supple tannins and a clinical seam of acidity that delivers a sense of symmetry. It is not quite touching the 2005 in terms of quality but it comes damn close thanks to its marvelous freshness. Tasted June 2015. [Neal Martin, 07/01/2015]

Vinous 93+

Good deep red. Deeper-pitched, more earth-dominated aromas of dark raspberry, meat, leather and smoke. Intensely flavored but youthfully tight, with soil and game flavors currently dominating primary fruits. In a distinctly more meaty and less obviously sweet style than the Petits-Mont but with superb energy on the back. From a mix of 90-, 60- and 40-year old vines. [Stephen Tanzer, 01/03/2013]
