Good dark red. Complex nose combines red fruits, wild herbs, spices and mint. Tight and penetrating on the palate; much less expressive today than the Echezeaux but dense, pure, vibrant and delineated. Showed increasing minerality with aeration but this very closed wine will need extended bottle aging to gain in pliancy. Finishes long and stylish. [Stephen Tanzer, 01/01/2011]
