Tasted blind at Farr Vintner’s Left Bank tasting. The Pagodes ’03 has cooked meat on the nose, complemented by blackberry, earth, sage and Provencal herbs. The palate is quite simple with chewy tannins: red-berried fruit, a touch of dark chocolate towards the finish. Given the quality of the Grand Vin, this ought to be better. Tasted October 2010.
