California Icons & Kentucky Classics

Independence Day Selections

Hello Collectors,

Happy Independence Day week! To celebrate, today’s offer is all about two American classics: some of our favorite recent California additions and Kentucky whiskey.

Aubert leads a stellar lineup of Chardonnay, with the 2022 Lauren joined by outstanding recent releases from Eastside, Powder House, and UV-SL. Napa collectors will find plenty to like as well, including perfect-scoring bottles from Bond, Eisele, Lokoya, Maybach, Scarecrow, and TOR, alongside icons such as Opus One, Screaming Eagle, Sloan, Schrader, and Marcassin.

A few highlights deserve special attention. The 2016 Eisele Cabernet Sauvignon (100 WA) remains one of Napa’s great modern classics, balancing remarkable power with precision and longevity. Bond’s 2015 Pluribus (100 WA) is another landmark vintage, while the 2016 Lokoya Mount Veeder and 2016 Scarecrow both earned perfect scores from Wine Advocate. Looking for something ready to enjoy? The 2009 and 2012 Château Montelena Estate Cabernets offer beautifully mature Napa at an approachable price, and the newly released 2023 Summer Dreams Golden Hour Pinot Noir (96 JS) is an excellent Sonoma Coast addition at just $80.

We’ve also included a handful of exceptional Kentucky spirits to round out the holiday. Highlights include Old Rip Van Winkle Lot B 12 Year, George T. Stagg, Russell’s Reserve 13 Year Barrel Proof, Elijah Craig 18 Year Single Barrel, and a rare Willett Family Estate Single Barrel. Wishing you a happy, healthy and festive 4th!
