If it feels like we’re a couple of days early with the Friday List, fear not. There’s plenty more coming then! Today’s note is meant to give you a bite-sized preview of the new wines being offered this week. Headlined by a bounty of Burgundy and Schrader, there’s a ton of great wine here, with exciting Bordeaux and Champagne mixed in. And a definite must-buy: Wine Spectator’s Wine of the Year: 2022 Giscours. Make sure to order early!

Schrader pricing has settled in nicely, and these have become tremendous values for lovers of powerful Napa Cabernet. With most of the lineup rated between 98 and 100 points, these are among the finest wines Schrader has produced in the last decade. Bordeaux won’t be left behind either: we have a quartet of First Growths, three of which are right in their prime drinking window.

Burgundy and Champagne round out the show, highlighted by five grower Champagnes that absolutely deserve a spot in your collection—the critics agree with me on these. Burgundy is centered around Roulot and a handful of standout gems. And not to be missed: today’s arrival of more 2024 Tempier Rosé and a few bottles of brilliant Ganevat.
