The Friday List - 4/11/25
Mixing it Up
Hello Collectors,
This week’s list is a bit of a deep dive into our inventory—an exciting mix of “insider” wines exceptional values that deserve a spot in your cellar, and a handful of mature bottles ready to drink. As the subject line suggests, it’s a curated collection built around one central idea: great wines, across the board.
Burgundy dominates the list—unsurprising, given its allure—but as is typical with the region, allocations are tight. This selection includes rising stars such as Coquard Loison Fleurot, Vincent Dancer, Henri Germain, and Jean-Marc Millot. Looking for mature bottles? You’ll find standouts from Bonneau du Martray, d’Angerville, Mongeard-Mugneret, and Denis Mortet, along with classics from Drouhin, Fourrier, Jadot, and Lafarge. And that’s not even the full list—there are at least half a dozen other names worth discovering, so be sure to browse the entire collection below.
Italy also shows up strong this week, particularly with one of the best values around. Roberto Conterno, already an icon in Barolo, is turning heads in Alto Piemonte too. His 2017 Nervi Gattinara—a vintage where he chose not to produce the single-vineyard bottlings, instead blending them into a single, sensational cuvée—is drinking beautifully. Antonio Galloni calls it “an overachieving wine that delivers the goods,” and we have it at a fantastic price. Add a case—this is one to stock up on.
There are still plenty more gems waiting to be uncovered. We’ll let you dive in and discover them for yourself!
