DRC, Ramonet, Perfect Palmer & More

Welcome to the Friday List! Today’s lineup is short but very, very sweet: some new additions plus some hidden gems (all from our storage, all with perfect provenance), and while primarily Bordeaux and Burgundy, we’ve added some Italy and California as well. So let’s get into it! First up, 100-point 2018 Palmer. I recommend these to add some heft to your collection – these will last a long, long time – and Palmer is consistently one of my favorite left banks, sometimes even surpassing the Margaux. With a string of strong vintages and aging potential, it performs way above its 3rd growth classification.

What I am most excited about: two of the best white Burgundy producers with their 2018 Montrachets: Lafon and Ramonet. The 2018 vintage offers both richness and structure, making these compelling both to cellar for decades or to secure now before they become even more elusive. Having these side by side in your collection would be absolutely spectacular – our allocations of these wines are so small, and collectors rarely want to part with them. If you’re thinking it over, just do it – it will be a while before we see more. 2022 DRC Corton-Charlemagne, Rousseau’s aged trio, and a few other aged bottles round out Burgundy. Keep checking on our new Burgundy arrivals as we add them, especially if you are attending La Paulée!

We have choice bottles from our recent single-owner Italian offering, and for California fans, this is a great opportunity to taste an early, iconic single vineyard release from Sine Qua Non (The aptly named Inaugural) side by side with its younger half-sibing, Distenta III.  Dominus, Insignia, Ridge Monte Bello and Shafer Hillside, all with perfect scores, are here for you to add Cabernet heft. On the heels of our Monday offer, these 100-pointers offer another compelling argument to secure top Napa vintages as cellar anchors. As a reminder, all of these are in the US already so no tariffs!
