California: Striking Gold!

We have added some significant collections representing the most coveted regions recently from our storage customers’ holdings, and we don’t want to overlook the glorious offerings from the Golden State. We’ve been able to procure a stunning variety of price points and ratings – but due to space limitations and so you aren’t scrolling like mad, we are only featuring just a portion of our amazing selection of California wines. We encourage you to spend some time browsing the entire range on our site – you will likely uncover some hidden gems that we just didn’t have room to feature today!

As always, we are featuring a range of Napa – some of the most sought-after growers from cults to classics, as well as some of the best producers from Paso Robles and the Central Coast – it’s so exciting to see how much has happened since my first visit in 1998! I am also having a moment getting to know and love Sonoma chardonnay again – so before you scroll past, I suggest a couple bottles of “standard-setting” (WA) Aubert’s single vineyard bottlings.

Hundred Acre, including the singular Fortification, is what you will want to have around come fall and winter, as are MacDonald, Schrader, and VHR. The 2010, 2012, and 2015 Bond magnum assortments will also get you stocked up – the scores for the best bottles are floating up there in the 99-100 point stratosphere. We’ve got two of Realm’s finest including The Absurd (100 WA), truly an astonishing, Merlot-based, cool climate wine – it’s absolutely worth it!

Heading south, I suggest picking up some bottles of L’Aventure – born with a French pedigree, reimagined in Paso terroir. The prices are incredibly appealing as well! Saxum continues to set the standard for everything that is possible in Paso and don’t miss Next of Kyn – living up to its own Sine Qua Non familial ties and absolutely the “without which not” for a comprehensive California collection!
