Pure Magic

Hello Collectors,

I’m often asked, “What’s the greatest wine you’ve ever had?” It’s a tough question—new wines are always vying for a spot on the list. One of the best things about buying from us is that we always have something extraordinary to satisfy that craving for greatness. So why not put a whole bunch of them in one email?

Where to start? Lately, I’ve had quite a few bottles of Chave and can confidently say Jean-Louis is producing wines of unparalleled quality. The 2001 and 2002 Rousseau Clos de Bèze are also spectacular right now. It’s hard not to love Rousseau, and I’ve included a good selection since these wines are regaining value after hitting some lofty highs. Roumier Bonnes Mares is another standout, though it still needs a bit more time in the cellar.

Colin-Morey is aging beautifully—the 2012 Chevalier-Montrachet was absolutely stellar. I’ve also revisited the 2015s over the past year, and they continue to show incredible freshness and purity. As for Bordeaux, the 1996 Latour has long been a favorite and just keeps getting better, while the 2000 Latour is displaying towering complexity and richness.

I could go on, but I’ll let you start shopping.
