2000–2020

The World’s Greatest Vintages

Hello Collectors,

Not all vintages are created equal. These are the years collectors build cellars around – the benchmarks that consistently deliver across regions. From fully mature classics to modern legends, this is a focused offering of wines that define their eras. In the core lineup, 2000, 2005, 2009, 2010, 2012, 2015, 2016, and 2019 are the vintages to buy. With such depth across these vintages, this is only a snapshot, and the full selection (over 200 wines!) can be explored on our site by searching within each vintage. We’ve also chosen to include 2020 – an early but highly regarded vintage defined by structure, balance, and aging potential. Many of these bottles come from a recently acquired single-owner cellar, and all with perfect storage and strong provenance throughout.

Bordeaux is anchored by cellar cornerstones 2010 Mouton, 2000 Léoville Barton, 2000 Pichon Lalande and 2009 Montrose, with additional depth from 2009 Clinet and 2015 La Mission Haut-Brion. Burgundy is a clear focal point, led by Domaine Armand Rousseau’s 2015 Chambertin – one of the defining wines of the vintage (99 BH, 100 WA), alongside the 2012 Chambertin-Clos de Bèze and a concentrated lineup from Domaine de la Romanée-Conti, Coche-Dury, Mugnier, and Dujac, spanning Grand Cru and leading Premier Cru vineyards.

Italy and the Rhône add further range, with bottles from Bruno Giacosa, Aldo Conterno, Antinori, and Quintarelli, including 2016 Barbaresco Asili Riserva, 2009 Gran Bussia Riserva, multiple vintages of Guado al Tasso and Solaia, the 2005 Quintarelli Alzero, and Domaine Rostaing’s near-perfect beautiful beast, La Landonne. And don’t miss the 2020 Galatrona, which Galloni calls “stunning…one of the best vintages I have ever tasted.”
