2025 Bordeaux Futures

As we enter the final stages of the 2025 Bordeaux Futures campaign, we thought it would be a good time to share what is still available, along with a quick overview of how Bordeaux Futures work and why this year presents such a compelling opportunity.

So, what are Bordeaux Futures? Simply put, they offer the chance to purchase Bordeaux at the lowest market price at which the wines are expected to be released. Another major benefit is access to alternative formats. Large-format bottles have become increasingly difficult to source once the wines are released, as relatively few make their way to the U.S. market. Futures purchases are paid in full now, as we must secure the wines at this stage as well. Delivery is expected in 2028, although timing could be affected by tariffs. At this time, we are not charging for tariffs, as there is no way to know what the policy will be when the wines are ready to ship.

Why does this year make sense? The wines are highly rated and very fairly priced. Lynch-Bages at $95? Cos d’Estournel at $120? Pontet-Canet at $89, with the potential for a future 100-point score? Opportunities like these don’t come around every year. It is an excellent time to stock the cellar, and there are still exciting releases scheduled over the next couple of weeks.
