Winter Warmers

Hello Collectors,

It’s been quite a while since we’ve come out with a spirits-focused email, and we figured there was no better time to reintroduce our selection than now, with record low temperatures throughout much of the US. We’re all doing what we can to stave off the cold and if a trip to a Caribbean island isn’t in the cards this week, it’s a good time to look at ways to warm from the inside, out. What better means than our highly curated yet formidable selection of bourbons and whiskeys? Whether sipping neat or mixing a Manhattan, we have something for all occasions.

From the Bourbon heavyweights at Buffalo Trace Distillery we’ve got the who’s who of bourbon producers from Blanton’s to Colonel EH Taylor (both bourbon and rye available!), to Weller’s 12-year wheated, and the ever-coveted crown jewel of Kentucky, Old Rip Van Winkle’s 10 year-old Bourbon, and more.

Outside of the BT domain, Angel’s Envy is showing with two bottlings both finished in Port Barrels, one of which is the 2023 Cask Strength. From J Rieger & Co, we have the 2022 edition Kansas City Monogram Whiskey, finished for up to 48 months in oloroso sherry barrels that are around 100 years old.

Finally, if you’re looking for something well outside the traditional US Bourbon realm, we’ve got one bottle remaining from Japanese distiller Suntori, the Hibiki Harmony. Closer in nature to Scotch Whisky than American Bourbon, this whiskey is drier, both smokey and floral, with a long, elegant finish.

Quantities are low so if something catches your eye be sure to grab it, so you don’t get left out in the cold.
