Based on the 2018 vintage, Chartogne’s latest NV Brut Rose was disgorged in May 2021 with around six grams per liter dosage. Offering up aromas of pear, tangerine and plums, it’s medium to full-bodied, seamless and fleshy, with a pillowy mousse and a generous core of fruit. It’s one of the more immediate, front-loaded wines in the range.
Anticipated maturity: 2021-2024
One of the highlights in this range, the NV Rosé is a striking wine from Alexandre Chartogne. Deceptively light in color, the Rosé offers striking depth and nuance throughout. A host of bright stone fruit, cranberry, mint and dried flowers blossom in this super-expressive, beautifully crafted Champagne. The current release is 60% Pinot Noir and 40% Chardonnay, all from the 2012 harvest. Dosage is 3 grams per liter. Disgorged April 2016.
Anticipated maturity: 2016-2021
