The NV Reflet d’Antan, base 2017, is outrageously beautiful. Creamy and expansive, the 2017 offers up a compelling mix of orchard fruit, orange peel, spice and tangerine oil. As always, Reflet d’Antan is a solera-style blend that includes 25% reserve wine back to 1982. That combination yields a Champagne endowed with tons of nuance and complexity. This is the first time Reflet d’Antan will be released only in magnums. Readers should be prepared for much higher pricing on this wine, which the Bereche brothers explain as necessary in order to make investments in quality across their operation.
