The 2024 Riesling Lorchhäuser Seligmacher, grown on Fricke’s steepest site on both quartzite and schist, implies a savory note of wet stone on the nose. The palate brings an exquisite, lemony lightness. This is linear, taut and yet so very charming and balanced. The lemon tingles on the tongue and makes this a pleasure. The 2024 uses its 16 g/L of residual sugar as a beautiful counterweight to the citric verve. (Off-dry) [Anne Krebiehl MW, 09/01/2025]
