The 2024 Gevrey-Chambertin Combe Aux Moines 1er Cru has a pure and transparent bouquet with red cherries, redcurrant and light cranberry scents, perhaps not quite delivering the enticing personality of the Les Goulots at the moment. This is holding something back. The palate is medium-bodied with fine, quite strict tannins that frame the bright red berry fruit. Gentle grip, fine balance with impressive sustain and mineralité on the tender finish. Superb. [Neal Martin, 01/01/2026]
