The 2022 Chassagne-Montrachet La Romanee 1er Cru has an exquisite bouquet with excellent clarity and focus, hints of yellow fruit, oyster shell and beeswax, unfolding with every swirl of the glass. The palate is very well-balanced, with impressive sapidity that gets the saliva flowing. Indeed, this is quite strict a la Puligny with wonderful length. Excellent, but "serious."
