The 2022 Chambolle-Musigny Les Fuées 1er Cru has a very perfumed and more floral bouquet than the Village Cru: rose bush and light forest floor scents filter through the red berry fruit and a hint of licorice that loiters in the background. The palate is medium-bodied with a slight confit-like character, figs and dates emerging towards the finish. Here, I feel there is a soupçon of sur-maturité on the finish, but I wonder if there will still be once in bottle? [Neal Martin, 01/11/2024]
