From Lafarge’s 85-year-old vines directly below Santenots-du-Milieu on shallower soils, the 2022 Meursault Vendange Sélectionée has a more complex bouquet than the regular cuvée, with subtle scents of orange pith, quince and a touch of chamomile. This feels a little livelier than the Meursault Village, edgy, its rockier terroir lending greater live-wire tension towards the finish. Excellent. [Neal Martin, 01/11/2024]
