The 2022 Gevrey-Chambertin Aux Combottes 1er Cru is one of Dujac’s strongest cards, and in this vintage, there’s no change there. It has a beautifully defined bouquet with mineral-rich red fruit, subtle iris flower scents and a hint of sous-bois. It has more energy than an over-excited puppy. The palate is medium-bodied with a well-knit opening, harmonious with white pepper and clove-infused black fruit. It has fine backbone, precise and edgy on the finish that lingers long in the mouth.
