The 2022 Clos de la Roche Grand Cru, matured in 50% new oak with 20% whole bunches, has an entrancing, beautifully defined bouquet with mineral-rich black fruit, becoming ever more floral in the glass: rose bush and iris petals. The palate is medium-bodied with crunchy black fruit laced with orange sorbet and allspice, building confidence towards its ripe and quite spicy finish. With fine persistence on the aftertaste, this represents a very impressive Clos de la Roche. [Neal Martin, 01/11/2024]
