The 2021 Chassagne-Montrachet Morgeot 1er Cru (Marquis de Laguiche) has a more complex and engaging bouquet than the preceding Meursault-Perrières with lovely dried flower and light nectarine scents, an underlying mineralité that should develop with bottle age. The palate has plenty of vigour, perfectly-judged acidity with impressive weight on the finish. This just seems to unfurl and it should provide immense pleasure. [Neal Martin, 01/05/2023]
