The 2021 Meursault Clos des Bouchères 1er Cru is far better than the previous two wines in the flight from Jobard and Fabien Coche: more tension and mineralité, more transparency and energy. The oak here is seamlessly integrated. The palate is well balanced with a lightly spiced energetic opening. Impressive depth and weight, fresh and saline, there is real complexity and sapidity on the finish urging you back for more. Excellent. Tasted blind at the Burgfest tasting.
