The 2020 Chianti Classico is a wine of real pedigree. Deep and yet also translucent, the 2020 captures all the personality of this rugged property. Bright saline and mineral notes drive through a core of red Sangiovese fruit, with hints of blood orange, sage, mint, tobacco and incense that add layers of dimension. I would give the 2020 a few years to soften, as it is a serious wine that needs time to be at its most expressive. [Antonio Galloni, 07/19/2022]
