The 2020 Vosne-Romanée Les Rouges du Dessus 1er Cru comprises two barrels this year (one new). It has a taut and focused bouquet, one of the most mineral-driven amongst Tremblay’s ‘20s, full of energy. The palate is medium-bodied with supple tannins, a fine bead of acidity, touches of orange sorbet and blood orange infusing the red fruit with a judicous touch of spice that animates the finish. This is wonderful and it has the substance to mature gracefully over the next two decades. [Neal Martin, 12/16/2021]
