This a oeSchradera label comes from Beckstoffer’s To Kalon vineyard in Oakville, produced from clone 4 grown on the C2 block. Deep purple-black colored, the 2019 Cabernet Sauvignon Beckstoffer To Kalon Vineyard needs a little swirling to unlock compelling scents of crushed rocks, black truffles and cast-iron pan over a core of blueberry compote, creme de cassis and Christmas pudding, plus a waft of hoisin. The full-bodied palate explodes with massive black fruit and earthy layers, supported by firm, grainy tannins and loads of freshness, finishing on a persistent mineral note.
