Tasting Notes
Vinous 93/100
The 2019 Meursault Genevrieres 1er Cru shows a slight reduction on the nose (like a couple of others) underneath crisp, delineated citrus fruit, crushed stone and blackcurrant leaf. The palate is well-balanced with a slightly viscous opening, lightly spiced with ginger and lemongrass. It has a gentle grip with a saline, Charmes-like finish that lingers. However, it does seem to fade and lose just a bit of definition with time. Tasted blind at the annual Burgfest tasting. [Neal Martin, 12/12/2023]
