The floral, perfumed and expressive 2019 Cardia Pombeiras was produced with Mencía from 40-year-old vines on slate soils, 0.16 hectares. It fermented with some 30% full clusters and indigenous yeasts and matured in used French oak barrels for under a year. It has elegance, nuance and a lifted nose and is quite showy with a velvety palate with vibrant flavors, a very fine thread and a tasty, dry and long finish. 600 bottles were filled in November 2020.
