The 2018 Chablis Grand Cru Les Preuses has turned out brilliantly, delivering notes of orange oil, crisp orchard fruit, iodine, white flowers and oyster shell, followed by a full-bodied, ample and enveloping palate that’s racy and saline, concluding with a long, electric finish. This is rather open for a young Dauvissat Preuses; and while it should, all things being equal, enjoy a long life, it will be less of a crime than usual to open a bottle or two young.
