Tasting Notes
Vinous 92
The 2018 Chambolle-Musigny Les Fuées 1er Cru has a nicely-detailed bouquet with brambly red fruit, sous-bois and light truffle scents, opening nicely with aeration, though it reveals just a touch of brettanomyces. I appreciate the focus here, it improves further in the glass. The palate is medium-bodied with firm, slightly grainy tannins. Dark berry fruit, graphite and some wood tannins on the finish. It just needs another 12-18 months to meld together. Tasted blind at the Burgfest 2018 red tasting. [Neal Martin, 11/22/2022]
