The 2017 Chassagne-Montrachet La Romanee 1er Cru has the most intense bouquet from Lamy s range, scents of orange zest, white peach and paw-paw. The palate is well balanced with a slightly honeyed opening and a fine thread of acidity. However, I just seek a little more substance on the final one-third of the wine that misses the tension of the Les Caillerets. [Neal Martin, 10/01/2019]
