Deep garnet-purple colored, the 2017 Cabernet Sauvignon rocks up with ready-for-biz notes of baked black plums, creme de cassis and fruit cake, plus hints of red roses, stewed tea, dusty soil and chocolate box with the faintest waft of star anise. Medium to full-bodied, the palate features loads of juicy black fruit preserves flavors and a chewy frame, finishing with a refreshing lift and loads of earthy sparks. The 2017 Cabernet Sauvignon is outrageously beautiful. Savory, dense and earthy with a distinctly Old World sense of structure, the 2017 is shaping up to be a real gem.
