The 2017 Nuits Saint-Georges Les Proces, which includes 50% whole bunches, has a very feminine, pure red cherry and crushed strawberry bouquet that develops flinty scents with aeration. The medium-bodied palate displays supple tannin and a fine bead of acidity, and feels quite compact toward the finish; it will benefit from two or three years in bottle. Excellent. Bursting with aromas of red berries, candied peel, peony and rose petal, the 2017 Nuits Saint-Georges 1er Cru Les Proces is medium to full-bodied, ample and satiny, with a deep, layered core, excellent volume and amplitude and a chassis of fine-grained, chalky tannins that only makes itself felt on the fragrant finish.
