A barrel sample coming from the Beckstoffer Las Piedras Vineyard, blocks C and E that are planted to clones 337 and 4, respectively, the 2016 Cabernet Sauvignon Beckstoffer Las Piedras Vineyard Lpv has a knock-out floral perfume of roses, violets and lavender with a core of red and black cherries and mulberries plus layers of cassis, dried herbs, pencil shavings and fragrant earth. Medium to full-bodied, the palate is very fine and fresh, with wonderfully pixilated tannins and perfumed layers, finishing very long with bags of class. [Lisa Perrotti-Brown, 12/01/2017]
